Mr. Daniel W. Kirkwood has over thirty-three years of experience in both hardware and software design, primarily in the medical industry. Mr. Kirkwood founded Eagle Innovations, Inc. in 1987 shortly after leaving Atlanta-based HBO & Company, where he had served as the National Director of Technology. Prior to his tenure at HBOC, he served as CIO at Geisinger Medical Center, a 600 bed hospital in Pennsylvania. Mr. Kirkwood has also held technology management positions within the Department of Defense and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Mr. Kirkwood developed the first Electronic Data Exchange product as an "Interface Operating System" which ran on off-the-shelf personal computers. Stressing vendor-independence and quick implementation times, Kirkwood and Eagle Innovations soon built a reputation as the solution that hospitals loved and some vendors despised!
Daniel W. Kirkwood founded Eagle Innovations, Inc. in 1987 and remains its President and Chief Executive Officer.
